Loyalty

Loyalty

A strong feeling of support or allegiance.

What does loyalty mean to you?  Nowadays it seems as if loyalty does not exist.  For many people that are self-centered, loyalty may be the things that you can provide for them.  However, they may make decisions that are beneficial to themselves.  Is it possible for a self-serving person to be loyal to anyone?

In simple form, being loyal means supporting another person or group of people as they support you.  This to me, is a two-way street.

For someone to show loyalty to something, they must have a strong sense of support from the source they are dealing with.  In some cases, it could be something simple like changing poor work conditions and paid time off.   For others, it may be financial or the opportunity to grow and advance.

I encourage everyone to remain true to themselves, as well as support those that support them.  Remember loyalty is at an all-time low.  If you find commitment cherish it before there is none left.  In short, show loyalty to those that show loyalty to you.  Loyalty is built on honor and trust.
